Hitting The Trails...

I love shooting at new locations. Actually, I have to give credit for this one to the mom. She was the one who mentioned this beautiful park. It was a lovely morning, not too hot, and the trails here are gorgeous. But as we learned, not too stroller friendly :)

After leaving this session, and seeing the developmental milestones Little Miss A has achieved at her 7th month mark, all I could think about was how quickly this year has gone by. I did Little A's newborn photos a week before Kieran was born, now she is sitting up on her own. She could possible be taller than me in about a year, that wouldn't be hard ;)

All I have to say is, savor these times, they go by so fast!

Circle of Friends...

I have been looking forward to doing this shoot all summer. I enjoyed Michelle and her preschool so much last year, I was very happy when she invited me back to do their photos again this year. In fact, I enjoyed her school so much, I decided that this was the place for Brayden to go to preschool this fall.

It was great to see some familiar faces from last year and meet some new faces. I also enjoyed meeting all the parents. Thank you again for inviting me and we will see you in the fall :) Just a note, these are not your traditional "preschool photos." Enjoy!

Album Happy...

The UPS man, made another fabulous delivery today, Keepsake Albums. The Family Album was created as a special gift for a very special dad for this Father's Day. The other, a Newborn Album, in celebration of a precious little baby girl who brings so much joy to her mommy and daddy. Each page was custom created for each individual. Both albums are timeless keepsakes and will be treasured by these families forever.

These albums are included with my "Welcoming Me" packages, but are available for all sessions.

Back To The Old Stomping Grounds...

I was very happy to be invited to join this family at their home today. I lived in this town for several years, pre-kids, and don't get to visit very often. I can't believe how much things can change in just a couple of years.

We had a lot of fun playing with caterpillars, looking at birds nests and playing with the dogs. And although it is slightly against my baseball religion, I know I am in NY, so I was fine to include their request for a Yankee hat photo :)

Wow, It's Hot Outside...

Summer has finally made its grand entrance! I was very excited to work with this family today, for we have had this date planned for 3 months now. This secret garden was a beautiful location but it sure did get hot quick!

Introducing...My New Line of Custom Frames!!

FINALLY!!! I am so excited to introduce my new line of custom frames. For the past 4-5 months, I have been working with Tom Morano, of Morano Frames, to develop a line of frames exclusive to Surprise Photography. When developing this line, I wanted something that reflects my appreciation of things that are old and have character.

After going through many frame and color samples (sorry Tom), we finally revealed our line this past weekend, at the Matilda Jane Trunk Show at Waddle N Swaddle. These frames are also featured as part of my display at Little One's in New Paltz.

For those of you who are very particular about your frames and appreciate time gone by, these weathered and distressed pieces will further more complement your photographs and your home.

These frames are custom crafted with solid wood and are available with or without glass. My mini canvases look great in these frames without glass. Due to their unique nature, no two frames will be alike.

Just A Good Old Play Date...

What a beautiful day to just hang outside with the neighbors. Brayden and his buddy had a great time playing trucks, golf, baseball and looking for bugs. Kieran discovered he loves the feel of grass on his feet.


Since it was a play date day, I figure I would play with some cool Photoshop tools.
